Gerrie & Christa.

VALENTINE – LOVESONGS IN BLUE
JANNIE MOOLMAN AND MARIETTE HEENOP – ACCOMPANIED BY ANNAKE DE VILLIERS (VIOLIN) AND MELVIN PETERS (PIANO)

Encore Theatre – Church Street (between Gordon and Duncan Street)
Friday 12 and Saturday 13 February at 20:00
Sunday 14 February Matinee at 15:00

Inclusive to this spectacular show is a free atomizer filled with the Perfume of your choice and free wine, sherry, coffee, tea and refreshments.

Durban-based vocalist, Mariette Heenop is back on stage in Pretoria and teams up with the virtuoso Jannie Moolman, who will, of course, treat us to Nessum Dorma and Caruso. They will take you on a heartfelt look at the emotional stages of love – not withholding the humorous side. . . True love (‘All I ask of you’) and relationships (‘Blue Moon’) – from lover (‘Hymne L’amour’) to parenthood (‘Bring him home’) to companionship (‘You’ve Got A Friend’) to victim (‘The Winner Takes It All’) seen through the eyes of men and women.
This celebration of love features a feel-good and nostalgic mix of music, classic and contemporary, made famous by legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Andrea Boccelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Celine Dion, Linda Ronstadt and Vaya Con Dios, as well as South Africa’s very own Dozi and Laurika Rauch.
Their accompanists needs no introduction:
Annake de Villiers (violinist) graduated with a B.Mus. at UOFS and moved to London where she studied further at Trinity College. She is no stranger to the South African audiences where she is part of many South African artists’ shows and has performed with the likes of Josh Groban, Kanye West and in the orchestra of Pavarotti when they performed in South Africa.
Melvin Peters is a freelance Jazz Pianist based in Durban. Melvin Peters graduated from the Centre for Jazz & Popular Music at UKZN, established by Darius Brubeck (son of legendary American Jazz Pianist, Dave Brubeck). He also studied for a year at Harvard (US).

Tickets available at Computicket or phone Gerrie at 083 441 6287.
